Festival of Native Arts Student Coordinator, Sarah Walker

Festival of Native Arts Student Coordinator, Sarah Walker, received the Fall 2011 Exceptional Student Employee Award from UAF Career Services.  It honors students extraordinary contributions to the UAF community.  Students who receive the award are nominated based on their employment, academics, going “above and beyond” their regular work duties, professionalism, and their commitment to the UAF community and mission.

Sarah is an incredible asset to the department and Festival.  She works hard at preparing for Festival, while pursuing her double major in Alaska Native Studies and Rural Development.  For her award, Sarah will receive a textbook gift certificate, lunch with Chancellor Rogers and his wife, Sherry Modrow, an engraved plaque, and a permanent listing on the Student Employment Award plaque.

WAY TO GO SARAH!!!
